Now a days in vidarbha region, the Colletotrichum blight and root rot complex are emerging as a serious problem of pepper cultivation. For assessment of the prevalence of blight and root rot diseases in vidarbha region, the survey were conducted during the year 2015-16 from Akot Tahsil of Akola and Anjangaon Tahsil of Amravati. Based on symptomatology the disease was recorded on the crop from 10 sites. The incidence and intensity of Colletotrichum blight and disease incidence of root rot was observed lowest in first year plantation (garden age) and highest in 3rd year Plantation (garden age) i.e. the old stems and roots were found more prone to attack than new ones.
